Our first 2014 CLA45 is now scheduled for production in early November! We don’t have all of the details yet but I am very excited about the most affordable AMG model. Right now we have it set up to look just like this picture – Cirrus White with Black Dinamica Interior and Red brake calipers. It is not spoken for yet…we can still customize it to your perfect vehicle and have it here before the end of the year!

I have been using the 2011 M-Class cargo tray in the back of GL-Class vehicles with the third row seat folded flat. It turns out that Mercedes-Benz just released a better solution…the Cargo Tray for the GL-Class! This tray is perfectlymolded to every contour of the cargo area and has small doors to allow access to the tie downs.

Atlanta Classic Cars installed our first Illuminated Star on a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 today! I was worried it would be a little too flashy but it is well done and fairly subtle. It really does add a WOW factor the the vehicle! It was hard to take good pictures in the daytime but I did want to show how the housing for the bulbs is a full star and circle behind the chrome emblem.

Illuminated Star:

I attended the Caffeine & Octane Car Show this weekend in Alpharetta and it was amazing! I have been going to car shows my whole life and I don’t think I have ever seen such a variety of vehicles. The metro Atlanta Mercedes-Benz delaerships are sponsoring the series this summer and will have vehicles and staff at every show. It is the first Sunday of every monthand you need to get there early! By 7am the parking lot was nearly full!

As you can see I brought the 2014 E350,Nash Solanki, our accessories manager, brought a pre-owned 2012 CLS63 AMG and we made friends with the owner of thisstunning classic Mercedes-Benz. I thinkit dressed up our area nicely!

I don’t buy cars very often and tend to over-analyze the situation, when I do. I had been looking around, looking under the hood, and kicking tires at all major dealership of decent cars and finally showed up at Atlanta Classic Cars facility where I was introduced to Jesse. I like salespeople who know their stuff and can answer questions in detail and over the course of next couple days I posed all kind of queries and test drove all models, even the ones I knew I could not perhaps afford. I never really thought of myself as an AMG driver. Obviously they are amazing vehicles and I love to drive them on the track…I just couldn’t envision myself needing that much power on a daily basis. However, the CLA45 AMG seems to be calling my name!That is a LOT of look and a LOT of power for not a lot of money. It will arrive stateside later this year…I mightbe ready for an upgrade by then!
