Do you see all of those happy Mercedes-Benz Owners? I know they love their cars and they also enjoyed the experience at the dealership. Why? Because they worked with me! I am a sales professional with a passion for my product.

I thought I would try something a little new and give advice on how to buy a car. Here is one way to make the process easy and enjoyable. Shop for your salesperson!

When you are looking for a place for dinner you look at reviews online. When you are looking for a salon you ask friends for referrals. A car is an expensive thing to buy…why leave it to chance by walking in the door of a dealership without knowing what you’ll get?

Do you know what dealership you’re going to visit?

If you know what dealership you want to visit, check out their website. There should be an “about us” or “meet our staff” section. Look for a friendly face, someone with common interests, someone who has been there a while or whatever makes you feel comfortable. Here is my profile fromAtlantaClassicCars.com. I look friendly, right?

Or, check our DealerRater.com. You can look at all of the dealerships around town and see reviews for the whole place as well as specific salespeople. Look for features that matter to you. Do you want efficient? A familyatmosphere? Quick responses? Attention after the sale? Here is one of my recent reviews:

“Jesse and ACC…what a world class team!”

My wife and I had narrowed down her choices to a BMW 320i and the CLA 250. We test drove both and told Jesse about our comparison. Rather than trying to inject her opinion, or downplay the competition, she highlighted the features of the Mercedes. She was a consummate professional, listened to our observations and in the end, was a key deciding factor in buying the CLA 250. She also showed us the service department which was world class in itself. I will definitely recommend Jesse and Atlanta Classic Cars They make a great team!

Ask a Friend!

You know someone that drives the brand you are interested in purchasing. Theyshould be able to recommend their salesperson or someone at the dealership who can steer you towards a good salesperson.

Post it on Facebook! If youmention that you are car shopping you are bound to get opinions. My customers can share my page on Facebook for easy referrals! I send presents when you send customers!

Ask Your Service Advisor!

Many of my new owners come through the service department. They have had a Mercedes for years, feel comfortable with their advisor and ask for a recommendation when the time comes for their next car. Service Advisors and Salespeople often work closely together everyday and your advisor can match you with someone you would like.

Now Call or E-mail the Salesperson!

You’ve found a friendly face and are ready to go shopping. Call ahead! If the salesperson knows you are coming they can clear their schedule, pull up a car you would like to see and be ready. If I know you read my reviews online and specifically want to work with me I am going to work even harder to make sure you have an excellent experience!

There you go! Now you are ready to have an excellent purchase experience with a salesperson that you know can help you find the right car. No guessing, no fear, just fun and excitement! Good luck!

Are you ready to be super-knowledgeable about the latest Mercedes-Benz models? Now you’ll be able to tell the ML from the GLE SUV and Coupe! The 2016s have arrived and I am excited to introduce you to them.

From the front: Count the grille slats. The 2015 ML350 has 3, the GLE350 has two and the GLE450 has one.

The noses have a slightly different profile. The headlights have changed from the 15 to the 16.

The steering wheel and infotainment screen are the obvious interior differences.

The 15 ML has a clear portion in the middle of the tail light and the 2016 has the clear portion at the bottom.

The coupe is pretty easy to pick out!

I have all three available now at Atlanta Classic Cars. Come see which Mercedes-Benz is right for you!

We got a sneak peak at the Metris today! This new van will be arrivingas both cargo and passenger vans this fall. I was able to drive it around a little bit and was impressed with the handling and maneuverability.

As you can see the Metris is about the same size as out GL-Class so it will fit in the garage and any parking space! This would be a great family hauler as well as a great cargo hauler. I can’t wait to start seeing them on the road!

“I mention this because when Evans was driving the M3, I simply walked away from him in the C63. I lost him four different times in my rearview mirror.”

“To put it in the very simplest of terms, Race mode works. Contrast this with the M3, where even if everything is flipped over to the most aggressive setting, it somehow doesn’t quite work. With the C63, Race mode turns the car from a big man in a fancy suit into a pissed-off pugilist with brass knuckles on each fist. Race mode just kind of solves everything.”

For 2016, Selenite Grey has been made available on many models and Palladium Silver has been discontinued. I was trying to describe this color as the New Palladium but the more I looked at it, the less Palladium it looked. So, I pulled together all of my greys and here is what I came up with!

From Left to Right: Palladium Silver S550, Selenite Grey E350, Mountain Grey CLA250 and Steel Grey C300

I think Palladium is lighter and has more gold than Selenite.

If you compare the Steel C300 (closest) to the Mountain Grey CLA250, the Steel looks very blue and the Mountain looks a touch brown.

I think this is the best light/angle I captured to show the different colors.

I hope there is a color or paint expert out there that can tell me how to explain these! Until then it will remain light grey, medium grey and dark grey.

At the end of July we saw our first 2016 S-Classes, CLS-Classes and GL-Classes.

Does the automotive press like the new Mercedes-AMG GT S? Ummm, yeah.

“It’s one of the best-handling cars I’ve ever driven. Certainly the best in the big, powerful bruiser category. Completely hooked up, without understeer. The car comes right into a corner, but the tail doesn’t come around. It’s just beautifully balanced all the time.”

For 2016 Mercedes-Benz will have two versions of the mid-sized SUV. The GLE-Class SUV and Coupe. Pictured above is the current ML-Class and the GLE-coupe. Similar size, but very different styling.

2016 GLE-Class SUV

This is a mid-cycle refresh to the current M-Class. There are upgrades to the interior and exterior but it will be very recognizable as the traditional SUV. It will be available in many variants: GLE300d, GLE350, GLE400, GLE550e, GLE63 AMG

2016 GLE-Class Coupe

This is a whole new version of the mid-size SUV. This GLE had coupe-like lines, AMG styling and is meant to stand out. The GLE-Coupe will only be available as the GLE450 AMG Sport and the GLE63 AMG.

Does that help? There seems to be a lot of confusion about why we are turning our ML into a coupe! We aren’t…there are two!
