I was trying these out for a customer today in a GLE-Class and thought someone else might be interested.
1 – Wire Mesh Divider Part Number A1668600042
This is a super heavy duty divider! It took two people to get it positioned in the car and is a bear to screw in. However, if you plan to leave it in full time it is very clean looking and would certainly keep everything in the cargo area contained! Approximate cost: $500
2 – Old Dog Net from 2013 or so
I am guessing everyone who had an ML in 2013 has one of these kicking around the garage because it came standard back then. It is out of production now but I am sure you could find one on Ebay or Craig’s list. It is cloth mesh on the top and straps on the bottom, folds in half for easy storage and would allow objects to pass under with the seats folded flat.

A client called to say that his Drive Dynamic Multi Contour Seats only worked sometimes. The drivers’ seat would work for a while, the passenger seat would work for a while but neither would work consistently.
After a little fiddling and some road testing I figured out that when the side bolsters were manually inflated over level 6 it prevented the bolsters from inflating around corners! Interesting!
I fixed it!
The all-new GLC300 is scheduled to arrive in December! One dropped by today and someone happened to park a GLK next to it! I thought it was the perfect opportunity to so a side-by-side comparison.
The new GLC is the direct replacement for the outgoing GLK. The new nomenclature tells you it is the SUV aligned with the C-Class sedan. It is larger, plusher and less boxy than the GLK.

Today is the One Year Anniversary of when I got my new car! I generally lease for 36 months with 12,000 miles a year. As you can see, I am a little over on my miles. People frequently ask me what to do when they are over miles so I am going to use myself as an example.
Step 1: Evaluate
I am currently over by 1260 miles. at $.25/mile that is $315. If I continued at this rate I would owe $945 in over mileage charges when I turned in the lease on November 1, 2017. I have several options available to me and there is no reason to panic!
By the way, I did the 12,000 mile per year lease knowing that I would likely go over. I looked at the 15,000 mile lease as well but it was $30 more per month and Iknew I wouldn’t be that high so I opted for the lower payment and possible over miles charges.

With these options in mind there is no reason to worry about going over miles in the lease. As long as you knew the plan going into the lease, and set it up properly, you do not need to restrict your miles or worry!I consider leasing an easy way to get a new car every 2-3 years with nosurprises.
I moved to Atlanta many years ago simply to avoid the snow. I did not know that I was putting myself in the perfect position for all things Mercedes-Benz!

It was an exciting race weekend for Mercedes AMG Petronas and Lewis Hamilton! The US Grand Prix in Austin looks like a spectacular venue and a little rain couldn’t keep the enthusiastic crowds away! I hope to attend some day!

I happened to have a GLE63 AMG and a GLE450 AMG Sport coupe on the lot at the same time so I ran right out and made a video!
This weekend I walked my 8th Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure! The Atlanta team raised more than $2.2 million dollars! This money is split between funding research for the Cure and donating to the local Komen affiliate, helping local families with diagnosis, treatment and care. It has been an honor to participate and I want to thank my donors, including Atlanta Classic Cars, for their support.
