Autoweek Reviews the Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe!
Spoiler: They like it! I have them in stock.
“That quick ratio and the high-performance tires go a long way toward making the C300 feel like a corner-carver.”
“It sounds surprisingly good when you mat it too. If someone would have told me had a 300-hp six under the hood, I wouldn't have questioned them, when in fact the C300 is powered by a great turbo four.”
“So, a year ago, if I was going for lower-priced, German sports coupe, I would have taken the BMW 428i. But now I think I might take this C300. I think it's straight-up gorgeous; the shape is sexy,“

Low Fuel in Your Mercedes-Benz – How to Tell!
I was driving a GLA loaner car the other day when the fuel light came on…in three places! And then I had to back upto a different pump after I had opened the fuel door and got a handy warning about that too! I can’t imagine how anyone could run out of gas with all of this notification.
Also, notice how the warnings have a little arrow to remind me about where the fuel door is located. I had forgotten that it was on the drivers’ side on the GLA/CLA. Handy!

Homelink Programming in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300
The 2017 E300 is the first car in a few years with a different Homelink system. Here is what worked for me.
Step One: Hold one of the buttons on the bottom of the Mirror (1,2, or 3). Light flashes.
Step Two: At the same time, hold The Button You Want to Program on the remote. Light flashes quickly.
Now your mirror is programmed but you must teach the garage about it. (Love this guy!)

Step Four: Press and then release the button on the mirror that you programmed (1, 2, or 3). It might work! If not, press and release again. My garage works on the third try.
You did it! Nice work!
Note: There is a know issue with the 2017 E300 not holding the code. If this happens to you, take it to the service department and ask them to “Add the Operational Codes.” The notice was posted to dealers on June 30th, 2016and takes less than 30 minutes to update in the car.
(Thanks to Chris in SC for helping me solve this mystery!)

2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 Review!
I attended training for the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 yesterday. It is not anticipated to hit US showrooms until later this summer so it was great to get a sneak peek!
Isaw a variety of paints and interiors, although all were sport models. Here is a video of the test drive cars:
Ihad several sections of training on the advanced technology, build quality and competitive comparisons.
I wasable to test the Parking Pilot, Active Brake Assist, and Distance Pilot Distronic on a closed course. In short, the car is better a recognizing things in the road and helping you to stop on time. Also, it parks itself much faster!
Iwent for a nice long drive in the E300 on both highways and city streets to feel the engine, new 9-speed transmissionand overall feel. The 241 horsepower and 279 lb/ft or torque was plenty for me. It is actually a touch faster than the outgoing V6 and significantly more efficient. The 9-speed erases any turbo lag and the overall build quality makes it quieter and more luxurious than ever!
Theinterior is beautiful. There are lots of new little details that make the E300 moreplush and elegant than the outgoing model. There is enough change to be new and exciting but enough similarity that I could figure out the controls easily. I think with a day of practice this E300 will make the systems in the old E feelold.
Overall the all-new Mercedes-Benz E300 will be a great addition to the line-up and I look forward to having it for sale soon! Look for more videos coming today!

Motor Trend Comparison: GLC vs. RX vs. MKX
Motor Trend took these mid-size SUVs for a drive through wine country and guess who won?!
“The execution is also top-notch. Every material in the GLC300 feels authentic. Wood is wood, metal is metal, and even the faux leather feels more convincing than the Lincoln's true leather. Every button, dial, and switch is designed and built to a standard rather than to a price. Mercedes-Benz has set the benchmark with the GLC300's interior design and execution.”
“Although Mercedes' COMAND might not be cutting-edge in terms of technology and/or screen size, at least there are multiple/redundant ways in, and it's easy to navigate through its features using both hard buttons on the center stack and the knob/touchpad controller. Its graphics are not only sophisticated but also useful for intuitively accessing everything from vehicle preferences to manually tuning radio stations. No gimmicks, no frustrations, no "it's just the way you have to do it." Rather, it just worked on a level above the others.”
“The GLC is larger and improved in every measure compared to the GLK, and its handsome exterior, impeccable interior, and class-leading dynamics and efficiency only serve to underscore the value it also contains. Who would've guessed that a Mercedes-Benz would emerge as the least expensive, least powerful, lightest, most sophisticated, most engaging to drive, most fuel-efficient, most attractive, and thus most desirable player in this group? The GLC300 takes the gold medal. Keep your eye on this one for next year's SUV of the Year.”
Thanks Lloyd for pointing this article out to me! Glad your GLC won!
