The upgrade program of Lorinser for the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake was finally unveiled by the company.

The first upgrade offers customized aero body kit for the vehicle that features a brand-new spoiler, side skirts and rear skirts. These upgrades are attached into the original points for attachment of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake. This particular body kit has a price tag of 6.176 EUR

The second set of upgrades enhances the engines of a number of CLS models. For instance, the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY will now feature 322 HP for its 3.5-liter V6 engine from the original 306 HP. The vehicle will also see its torque increasing to 295 lb-ft (400Nm) from 273 lb-ft (370Nm).

The 3.0-liter V6 engine of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY will also increase to 305 HP along with a torque of 513lb-ft (695Nm) from the original 265 HP and 457 lb-ft (620Nm) respectively.

In addition to the enhancements to the engines, 19-inch as well as 20-inch alloy wheels will be available through the upgrade program. A custom-made interior and adjustable suspension kit will also be offered in the upgrade program of Lorinser for the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.

Mercedes-Benz will start the coming year with a new vehicle configurator as well as a brand-new AMG website, so their customers can enjoy a wide range of detailed views of the vehicles. Customers and website visitors can already experience the appealing world of Mercedes-Benz in many ways with the elegantly designed customer-oriented service functions through the new vehicle configurator, various interaction options through social media networks and high resolution images with zoom function which can display every detail of the car.

The new vehicle configurator will let customers have the configuration of their own Mercedes-Benz dream car.

AMG will also launch a new internet presence in its corporate website next year. So, aside from giving that great visual experience which allows visitors to enjoy a 360 degree viewing features, it is also offering a high level of detail and service to customers, and that includes easy navigation and complete transparency in terms of cost and financing options.

Through the newly designed HTML platform based AMG website, customers can have access to the website by using their tablets or smartphones.

EVO, a UK automobile magazine, recently pitted the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe against the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang to test which was the better muscle car.

The publication opted to use the base model of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe with its 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that generates 451bhp and 443 lb-ft against the Shelby that featured a supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine which channels 662bhp and 631lbs of torque.

An upgraded model of the C63 AMG Coupe is also available that increases its output to 481bhp while the Black Edition model offers 510bhp.

The two cars have numerous differences and EVO wanted to test which one is the better vehicle. Both cars have claimed to be good at a straight-line acceleration and what better way to find out than a good old-fashioned drag race.

The North American muscle car is not officially available in Europe although it has a price tag of around $54,995 in the US. In comparison, the C63 AMG Coupe has a price tag of around $59,800 in the US market, and it can be purchased in the UK at around $94,800.

Here is a short video called "The Journey" that I want to share with all of the Mercedes-Benz fans out there.

The innovative and lovable video is directed by Andreas Bruns. It actually started off as a project for their course at the Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemburg, which is one of the world's well-known production company. But due to the amazing storytelling and the soundtrack of this one minute and thirty-second film, Mercedes-Benz took notice and now uses it as an official promotional video.

The short film follows the story of a young boy, probably named Edward as the song implies. Guided by his map and accompanied by his cuddly little teddy bear companion, he goes out of the night while his parents sleep in the living room.

Where the journey takes this innocent and cute-looking child is puzzling at first, but as the video reaches its end, you will find out why his journey is worth it.

MEC attracts the attention of all hardcore Mercedes-Benz fans out there once again as they revealed the facelift that they made for the classic R230 Mercedes-Benz SL.

The body kit provided by the Berlin-based company includes a new look for the bumper which now features a massive design, while the back bumper is now equipped with a diffuser. Then, the ventilation of the hood is improved with a couple of modifications to its style. Among other upgrades are the side panels, fenders and trunk spoiler.

Customers are free to decide the size of the spoiler located at the front end of the car. The materials for the spoilers that they can also choose from are plastic or clear coated carbon fibre.

Now, this is truly another update that many can definitely look out for this upcoming holiday season.

Vath Offers Extra Ways for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupé Black Series to Go Extreme  阅读原文»

C63 comes with additional upgrades thanks to Vath.

Customers who ordered a tuned up C63 AMG Black Coupé with 510hp plus the optional Aerodynamics and Track kits as well as carbon enhancements are in for an early Christmas treat. Vath is offering more ways to unleash more of the car's potentials.

The German-based tuning company provides an upgrade package that includes a complete power kit with enhanced software, modified exhaust and a supercharger. The add-ons will increase the output of the engine to a maximum of 746hp. This will allow the C63 AMG Black Coupé to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just a span of 3.6 seconds which is 0.6 faster than the upgrade offered by its manufacturer. Moreover, the configurations from Vath will let the car reach a speed of up to 218mph.

Be prepared to burn out more cash though as the power kit comes at 49,310 EUR. That is around 64,900 in USD.

In addition to the improvements, customers can also opt to purchase the suspension kit, high-performance brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels with tires along with othercustomizationsfor the armor and interior.

It may be possible that future Aston Martins will have more than just the AMG engines and may include the electronic architecture of Mercedes-Benz. This followed the report on the investment made by Investindustrial into the British sports car manufacturer. After selling Ducati to Audi, the private equity firm bought a 37.5 percent stake in Aston.

Although Investindustrial have a close relationship with AMG and Mercedes, it remains unconfirmed if the German car manufacturer is included in the deal with Aston.

According to a source in Mercedes-Benz, they know the people in Investindustrial and they have a close marketing deal with them. The source added that Investindustrial inquired if Mercedes will be interested in becoming a technology partner if they acquired the Aston stake.

Aston Martin is reportedly eyeing to replace their Ford-manufactured engine with the V12 petrol engine of AMG. However the source hinted that the deal will be significant and will not be limited to drivelines even as no details about the discussion were revealed. Current Aston products show that they do not only need new driveline but new electronic architectures as well.

During the 2012 Essen Motor Show, TIKT, which is a performance-parts specialist, reveals the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe-based Black Baron.

TIKT is a top German tuner that is known for its impressive and technically skilled individual conversions. They unveiled the transformation made on the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series, turning it into the Black Baron by making revisions on the electronics and through the installationof bigger throttle valves, high-performance racing headers and new exhaust system with a sports catalyzer and X-pipe. The results of the detailed work of engineers and technicians from TIKT are impressive!

From the original model, the Black Baron with V8 6.3-liter that produces 517 HP and 620 Nm of torque now has a power unit that is capable of generating 606 HP and 660 Nm of torque as maximum. An additional set-up alternative has also been developed distinctively for use on race paths by hobby racing drivers.
