In a six-month time frame, Mercedes-Benz along with many other car manufacturers broke some records of the highest sales and registrations in the United Kingdom.
One of the numbers that the company is very happy about are the cars that bears the Mercedes badge which have been registered in the first half of 2012 because it reach 47,245, a 4.5% increase from last year.
The AMG brands, in spite of its unpopularity in the 'fuel economy' still showed an incredible increase 150%, which is surprising considering that Europe is in recession. The S-Class, the leading luxury class in the UK still maintained its lead, along with the C-Class. Commercial vehicles are doing great, increasing by 17.1% in registrations. Sadly, the van sales decreased by 7.5% compared to the same period last year.
Over-all, the cars that bear the Three-Star brand did well, despite of the economy of Europe, therefore, not a lot are willing to sacrifice quality, even if it means they cost more.
